When I was completing the paperwork on the purchase of my new car from Des Moines BMW, the salesman said that for some reason the car was only shipped with 1 key. He said that they would order the replacement “right away” and they should have it in the next couple of days. The salesman said he would make sure it got taken care of and would give me a call when it came in.He then walked me back to the service department and explained to one of the service advisers that the car was shipped with just one key and one have to be ordered for me. The service adviser said that he needed a copy of my drivers license before they ordered the key to show to BMW I had purchased the car.
